Put the FUN into Fundraising
With my Caricature
FUNdraising Ideas for Nonprofits!

Nonprofits face a constant challenge: finding fundraising ideas that truly stand out. Traditional galas, auctions, and raffles can start to feel stale, and donors tune out when every event looks the same. At the same time, budgets are tight and staff are stretched thin, making it hard to plan something fresh without adding more work. What organizations really need is a way to engage supporters, raise funds, and create lasting memories — all at the same time.
St. Michael’s School in Daphne, AL - their Cardinals In the Courtyard fundraiser brought in over $15,000
At Jamie’s nonprofit pet event for the city of Gulf Shores, AL, she tried something new:
promoting caricatures in advance and selling $20 reservations. Every spot filled, the line never stopped, and the nonprofit raised funds without breaking the bank.
I’ve used her method ever since, often pairing it with corporate sponsorships or silent auctions that help cover my reduced nonprofit fee. The best part? Guests RSVP faster because caricatures are a bucket-list experience they don’t want to miss.
Caricatures aren’t just entertainment — they’re a creative fundraising idea that boosts engagement and gives supporters a keepsake to remember your event.
I’ll work with you to create a one-of-a-kind event that delights your patrons and inspires generous giving.

Types of Fundraisers
Type 1: By the Hour —
Discounted for Nonprofits
I come to your event and draw guests live, charging by the hour. Nonprofits receive a reduced rate, and I’m one of the fastest caricaturists in the world — so unless you have an unusually large crowd, everyone gets drawn.
You can charge per person, utilize corporate sponsorships, use caricatures to add value and Draw a crowd (pun intended!), or even set out a tip jar to help cover costs. For qualifying nonprofits,
I donate those tips back to your organization.
Discounts available for:
-
Nonprofits
-
Churches
-
Schools
-
Hospitals
-
Service men & women
Works best for:

This option is less about raising major funds and more about adding value to events you’re already charging for — such as black-tie galas with a high ticket price.
I give nonprofits a standard discount of 25% off my hourly rate, and some qualifying organizations receive an even greater discount. Your organization also keeps 100% of the tips collected.

How Corporate Sponsorships Work
Corporate sponsorships are a simple way to bring live caricatures to your fundraiser while maximizing donations for your nonprofit. Instead of your organization covering my base fee, a local business steps in as the sponsor.
Here’s how it works:
-
Sponsor Covers the Artist Fee
– A business pays for my appearance at your event. That means there’s no upfront cost to your nonprofit. -
Guests Get Drawn for Free
– Because the sponsor covers the fee, guests can enjoy their caricatures without charge. This creates a steady flow of participation and excitement at your event. -
Donations Go Directly to You
– While guests aren’t required to pay, they’re encouraged to leave tips or make a donation. Your nonprofit keeps 100% of those contributions. -
Sponsors Get Visibility
– The sponsoring business gets recognition for their generosity. Their logo can be printed on the caricature paper, displayed at my drawing station, or featured in your event program and social media. -
Everybody Wins
– Guests have fun and take home a keepsake. The sponsor gets positive exposure in the community. And your nonprofit raises funds with no upfront expense.

Individuals Can Sponsor Too
Corporate sponsors aren’t the only ones who can make a difference —
individuals can step in as well. One of my longtime customers (who preferred to remain anonymous) sponsored me to draw caricatures at the Children's Rehab Center's wheelchair washing event for disabled kids in Mobile AL.
It turned out to be one of the best events I did all year — full of laughter, joy, and unforgettable moments. Even my teenage son Dan, who’s usually pretty blasé about everything, volunteered to help at the last minute. He ended up on wheelchair washing duty — and even got interviewed on the news!
Sponsorships like this create opportunities for families and organizations who might not otherwise be able to enjoy live caricatures.

Explorers Home School Art Class in Milton, FL: inspiring the next generation of young artists, one sketch at a time.
Amount Your Organization Earns: 25% to 50% of proceeds - and that adds up quickly!
Type 4 : Sketch A Thon
Here’s how this style of fundraiser works:
-
Book Me for Your Event — Your organization covers my base fee at a reduced nonprofit rate.
-
Guests Pay Per Drawing — Attendees pay a small fee when they sit to be drawn.
-
You Keep the Extra — Anything raised over my fee goes directly back to your organization.
For example: each year I work with the USO 5K in Pensacola. They pay my base fee, runners pay for their caricatures, and everything collected beyond my fee is donated back to the USO.
It’s simple, fun, and creates a built-in revenue stream while giving guests something they’ll keep for years.

"Kathy has an amazing skill and helped to share that with our school today where we had 1,000 students join us for a spring carnival.
She was wonderful!
Showed up on time prepared to spend a full day drawing caricatures for our students and did so
with a smile on her face.
Thank you Kathy for all of your help. We greatly appreciate you coming out to our school."
