F inally...Wedding Favors Your Guests Will Love

At the Athelstan Club in Mobile, digital wedding sketches brought a modern twist to timeless romance — once reserved for the world’s biggest corporate galas, now an exclusive experience for luxury weddings
As a Bride, you've probably spent hours hunting for the perfect wedding favor — only to find the same old koozies, candles, and trinkets guests leave behind.
You deserve better. Your guests deserve better. That’s why I offer something different: Live, Flattering Portrait-Style Caricatures. Guests frame them, families treasure them, and your wedding is remembered long after the cake is gone.
I know this because it happened to me.
For my own wedding reception, I hand-folded over 100 delicate origami roses as favors — hours of work I thought my guest would appreciate. But by the end of the night, nearly all of them were left behind. I was heartbroken.
That’s when I realized the truth about most wedding favors:
they're fun for five minutes -- then forgotten. Guests toss them in drawers, give them away, or worse, leave them behind for you to throw away.
My Wedding Sketches are different.
✨ Guests frame them.
✨ Families hang them for decades.
✨ No one leaves them behind.
They become a memory of your wedding on the wall —
a keepsake that reminds your guests of your day
every time they see it.

Why My Sketches are a Perfect Match for Weddings
At almost every wedding I draw at, I hear the same thing:
“Caricatures? What a Unique Idea! I’ve never seen them at a wedding before!”
And they’re right — live wedding caricatures aren’t just a fun surprise, they’re both wedding entertainment and a unique keepsake. Guests laugh while they’re being drawn, mingle while they wait, and leave with a favor they’ll actually treasure -- not regift at the next wedding.
My Caricatures are different.
✨ Guests frame them.
✨ Families hang them for decades.
✨ No one leaves them behind.
They become a memory of your wedding on the wall — a keepsake that reminds your guests of your day every time they see it.
At one country club wedding, a little girl loved her drawing so much she kissed it! Later her parents came back for a family portrait and she hugged it. That’s the kind of keepsake caricatures create — joy that lasts long after the cake is gone.
If you're looking for a wedding caricature artist, wedding cartoonist, or an unforgettable wedding reception entertainment idea, my caricatures are the perfect fit.
I create caricatures so flattering they’ll be framed for years — reminding your guests of your wedding every time they see it on their wall.

The Perfect Match - a bride and groom to be hold their caricature gift from the mother of the groom. I also drew all of their guests as a gift from the mother of the bride to the couple.

At a New Orleans–area wedding, a little girl loved her sketch so much she kissed it… and later hugged her family portrait, too.
-
Photo booths: fun but fleeting — Photo booths: fun in the moment, but not exactly timeless. The tiny strips end up in drawers, not frames — and there’s no emotional connection. There’s no feeling, no artistry, no story worth keeping. It’s no wonder many photo booths sit empty once the novelty wears off.
-
Wedding painters: elegant and romantic, but there’s only one painting — the couple keeps it. Guests simply observe from a distance, never becoming part of the experience or take home a piece of the celebration.
-
Watercolor sketches and illustrations: beautiful, but slow. The paint takes time and space to dry, limiting how many guests can be included — and most venues don’t have room for drying racks or mess.
-
Faceless illustrations: minimalist and trendy, yes — yet often impersonal. Faces are the emotion of a wedding. Without them, the art loses its heart.
-
Fashion illustrations: chic, but overly idealized — often ignoring real likeness and body type. Guests who aren’t runway models deserve to see themselves as they truly are: radiant, joyful, and celebrated.
How My Live Wedding Sketches Compare to Other
Wedding Art Experiences

At their wedding in Little Point Clear, Coastal Alabama, Abby's sister surprised the couple with unique drawings of famous YouTubers, adding a special touch to their celebration.
💫 The Experience That’s Different
My live wedding sketches combine everything couples love about other art forms — without the drawbacks.
They’re drawn in real time with fine-art precision, warmth, and humor. Each piece captures genuine likeness and laughter in just minutes, using professional, vintage-inspired materials that dry instantly, never smudge, and age beautifully.
-
Unlike photo booths, they create true connection — laughter, conversation, and keepsakes guests actually cherish.
-
Unlike wedding painters, every guest gets to take home a work of art, not just watch from afar.
-
Unlike watercolor or fashion illustrations, there’s no waiting, no mess, and no idealized figures — only real, flattering portraits that make everyone feel radiant.
-
And unlike faceless art, my sketches celebrate what makes your guests human: their expressions, their joy, their love.
It’s a fine-art performance and a keepsake in one — a memory of your wedding, on their wall.
Real Wedding Caricature Stories - Real Reviews
Caricatures aren’t just entertainment — they become the stories your guests remember most. Here are a few of my favorites from real weddings across the Gulf Coast:

Lauren & Jeffrey – Barklay House, Pensacola, FL
Lauren was shy and didn’t want to be drawn live in front of her guests, so I worked from a photo instead. When I revealed the finished caricature, she lit up and proudly posed with it. On your wedding day, you need service that goes beyond just entertainment. That level of personalization is why I'm recognized as one of the premier wedding artists in the country.

Deja & David – The Plant Venue, Jackson, MS
Deja’s wedding had been postponed three times, so every moment felt extra precious. When her grandparents rolled forward — her grandmother in a wheelchair, her head gently supported by her husband — I knew this sketch would be priceless. Later, her father told me: “They never get pictures taken. Anywhere. But tonight, they got one with you.”

Shaea & Ledell – Jerusalem Shriners Venue, New Orleans, LA
With a massive guest list, Shaea and Ledell’s reception could have easily left people waiting. Instead, my caricatures kept the night lively and flowing. Guests laughed while they watched each drawing unfold and carried their portraits home as lasting keepsakes. More than one told me, “This was the highlight of the night.”

Jennifer & Scott – The Oaks, Ponchatoula, LA
Jennifer and Scott prove weddings aren’t just for the young. Their later-in-life celebration was full of joy and laughter. Guests — many of them older — loved that they could relax, watch, and still be part of the fun. Jennifer told me afterward, “It was the one thing everyone at our wedding could enjoy, no matter their age.”

Rincy & Dan – Tybee Island, GA
At Rincy and Dan’s multicultural wedding, Indian and Christian traditions came together beautifully. Caricatures helped bridge those worlds — giving guests from both sides of the family something personal to take home. For many, it was their very first caricature. Even the DJ got one! He said, “I'm taking this to my car right now to keep it safe!" That doesn't happen with koozies, no matter what you have printed on them.

Cameron & Patrick – Ezell House, Mobile, AL
Cameron and Patrick’s intimate wedding had about 40 guests, which meant I could really take my time and connect with everyone.
As I drew, I heard a groomsman say, “Why share the most important day of your life with strangers?” That summed up the whole evening — personal, close-knit, and full of love.
What made it extra special was the bride’s parents. They’d been married, divorced, and then remarried each other. When they got back together, they celebrated by having their caricature drawn with “Just Married” across the top — and that’s how they told their kids!
Years later, they hired me again for their daughter’s wedding. Caricatures are part of their family story, and that night it came full circle.

The couple united by caricatures - til art do we part!
✨ From New Orleans to Mobile, Pensacola, Jackson, and Tybee Island, caricatures have become the heartbeat of weddings I’ve been honored to draw at. Your wedding could be next.

Meet Your Wedding Caricature Artist
Hi, My name is Kathy Buskett. I'm a wife and busy mom probably a lot like you or your own mom.
I'm also a professional FULL TIME Professional Caricature Artist with 26 years of experience.
I love delighting people with my caricatures and that’s why I do what I do.
I used to live in Las Vegas, and I owned and drew Caricatures at the Caricature Stand at Fremont Street Experience along with my late husband Buddy Rose.
This gave me the opportunity to draw caricatures for some of the largest brands in the world including Samsung, Hyundai, Coca-Cola, The PGA Golf Torunament and even Cirque du Soleil - and many others.
Now, I live and draw caricatures at weddings on the Gulf coast. Why? Because I love being a part of the most important day of your life. And I love that my caricatures become favors that are hanging in peoples houses all over the world.

My Guarantee to You
Professional Entertainment You Can Trust

I believe in treating every client fairly — and part of that is protecting you with a clear, written contract. If I don’t show up for any reason (which has never happened — not even the day before I gave birth!), you’ll receive a 100% refund. No other caricature artist in the Gulf Coast offers this kind of guarantee.
And if something happens on your end (God forbid), your retainer is never lost. Instead, you can apply it to another date or event of your choice (as long as I'm available)
One of my longtime clients, Deborah, once booked me for her granddaughter’s wedding. Sadly, the wedding didn’t work out. But Deborah rolled her retainer over to her birthday party instead — and it turned into a night of joy. Every guest got drawn, laughter filled the room, and at the end she told me:
“Kathy, you helped me take lemons and make lemonade.”
That’s the kind of trust and flexibility I promise my clients. With me, you’re not just booking a caricature artist — you’re getting peace of mind, a written guarantee, and the assurance that your investment is protected.
You Don't Pay a Cent Until the Contract is Signed
Booking me is risk-free.
Your investment is always protected.
I never accept a retainer until the contract is signed by both of us. That way, everything is in writing — what I provide, when I’ll be there, and what happens if life throws a curveball. No surprises. No risk. Just peace of mind.

Tips For Hiring Entertainment or other Vendors
If you’ve never booked live entertainment before, here are a few tips:
-
✅ Always get a signed contract before paying anything.
-
✅ Never pay a deposit until both parties have signed.
-
✅ Use a credit or debit card so you’re protected if you ever need to dispute charges.
-
✅ Check the fine print. Make sure it says what happens if the vendor doesn’t show up.
-
✅ Expect fairness. Most contracts say you lose your deposit if you cancel. Mine is different — you can apply it to another date if I’m available.
-
✅ Do your homework. Read reviews everywhere (not just one site).
Because at the end of the day, booking a caricature artist (or any vendor) should feel exciting, not risky.
You're Welcome!
💍 Wedding Caricature Packages

💬 “She was actually super reasonable! … It was essentially cheaper per person than what we paid in Vegas.” – Morgan, Bride
Why live wedding caricatures are worth it - (and different from party pricing)
At Disney or Universal, a single black-and-white caricature (no body) can run close to $100 — and brides often tell me my wedding rates feel like a bargain by comparison. But the difference isn’t just price — it’s value.
When you book me for your wedding, the whole day is yours. I never double-book, you get unlimited consultations, and I draw nonstop with only the quickest breaks.
The bride and groom always receive a full-color keepsake, I keep your guests laughing as I go,
and I even snap photos of every caricature to send you afterward — a sweet way to relive the fun while you’re still waiting on your photographer.
Wedding Caricature Packages

✨ “Cameron’s intimate Ezell House wedding didn’t need an entire day of entertainment. Three hours was perfect to cover cocktail hour and a slice of the reception. Guests mingled, laughed, and left with keepsakes that felt as personal as the day itself.”

✨ Shaea and Ledell had the opposite challenge — their wedding was huge, with a wedding party of more than 40 people! Shaea worried that one artist couldn’t handle such a big crowd. I reassured her that even the onlookers would enjoy the entertainment, and she had plenty of other stations for guests to visit. In the end, it worked beautifully — and Shaea gave me several glowing reviews!

✨ At Rincy & Dan’s Indian Wedding in Tybee Island, caricatures gave both sides of the family something personal to take home. Because it was a destination wedding, they chose my Luxury Tier, making sure every guest was included.

✨ “Katelyn’s Athelstan Club reception was all about wow-factor. We went digital — her guests watched each caricature appear on the big screen and took home printed keepsakes. It turned into a show within the party and gave her wedding a one-of-a-kind edge.
✨ Special Exceptions

✨ Ashley & Ray got married in Ashley's Gradmother's backyard on a Wednesday with just close family and friends. Since it was local and didn’t require me to block a full day, I waived my 3-hour minimum.
If your celebration is small, midweek, or nearby — reach out. I’m happy to work with you to create something that fits.

💡 At the Ezell House in Mobile, I drew every single guest — including the planner and the DJ. At Matt & Morgan’s wedding, I redrew their special blended family caricature from photos as a gift. Those kinds of keepsakes are why guests say caricatures are the highlight of the night.
Keepsake Caricature

✨ At Matt & Morgan’s wedding, they wanted a special family caricature to celebrate their new blended family. I drew them as a couple and each of the kids individually, but the night ran away before I could finish the family piece. So afterward, I redrew it from photos and sent it to them. They were thrilled!
