If Americans have a rite of passage into adulthood, it is this. The graduation ceremony. Graduating from high school is simultaneously joyful, tearful, and terrifying.
I was privileged to draw Caricatures for the graduation of Holmes county high school in Bonifay FL. and to draw the graduates on the very night that they stepped over the threshold from child to adult.
I got to give some words of advice, calm some fears, encourage them to follow their passions, to find what they are if they don’t know yet, and to help them travel to this, the next stage of their journey.
I’m humbled.
I got to watch the photos of each graduates pictures from their babyhood to their childhood to junior high to senior high school growing up right before my eyes. I felt like I knew these kids. And then I got to draw each one of them and get to know them personally. And I got to give them each a souvenir of what is the culmination of their childhood.
I hope you enjoy these photos. I had an amazing time drawing them.
And if you would like me to come to your special event, spread joy and laughter like confetti, and send everyone home with incomparable bespoken party favors they will cherish for a lifetime, contact me now. Open Dates on my calendar don’t last long.
