A Wedding Moment
They'll Never Forget

Coco & Zac at their reception at the Chimneys Restaurant in Gulfport, MS
The French doors opened, and Coco and Zac stood side by side, holding hands and clutching their wedding caricature as 200 guests burst into applause.
It was electric.
Just minutes earlier, Coco and Zac were seated side by side in my chairs on the wraparound porch of The Chimneys in Gulfport, Mississippi, where their wedding reception was being held.
From where we sat, I could see into the reception — soft candlelight flickering, chandeliers sparkling. We could hear the low murmur of conversation and the delicate clink of glasses as guests were served their salads.
But out on the porch, it was quiet.
It was a warm evening with a soft breeze. Coco didn’t even need a shawl. It was that perfect of a night.
As I started sketching, I gave them the usual instructions — you don’t have to smile the whole time — and made a ridiculous grimace that made them both laugh.
It was just the two of them.
They laughed. Relaxed. Reconnected after a very busy day.
Zac laughed when I told him he looked like Prince Harry.
“I’ll take it,” he said.
Meanwhile, inside, the reception carried on. The bride and groom weren’t missed.
Coco and Zac hadn’t wanted a quiet, polite reception.
They wanted joy.
It was a destination wedding, with family and friends who had flown in from across the country — and even the world — to celebrate them.
When I revealed their finished wedding caricature, Coco clapped with delight, and Zac laughed.
Then they both hugged me.
I can count on one hand how many times that has happened.
Turns out they’re lifelong caricature collectors, and this one was meant to mark the most important day of their lives.
“This one’s going right over the mantel,” Coco said.
They stood there for a moment, looking down at the drawing.
Then they looked at each other and smiled.
Time to go back in.
Hand in hand, still clutching their wedding caricature, they walked toward the French doors.
The planner reached for the handles.
The doors swung open.
And 200 guests erupted into cheers.
They stood there together, smiling out at a room full of family and friends who adored them — who had traveled across the country and even the world just to celebrate their union.
They lit up the entire room.
Their faces said it all.

What Happens After the Wedding

Morgan's Valentine gift for her hubby. Her Wedding Sketches (pictured middle)
Sometimes, I get to see what happens after the wedding.
Close to a year after their wedding, I got a message from Morgan.
“Finally got them framed!!!”
It was their first Valentine’s Day as husband and wife. She had their wedding caricatures framed and displayed in their home, smiling faces looking back at them from the counter. I later realized that this was her Valentine's gift to her Hubby Matt.
She told me they still brag about the day.
That’s my favorite part.
Not the laughs at the reception.
Not even the cheers.
The fact that it’s still hanging in their home, sometimes years later.

What Live Wedding Caricatures look like
On your Wedding Day

Gabriella and Cole hold their Funny but Flattering Wedding Caricature at the Ursuline Convent Museum in
New Orleans, LA
Live wedding caricatures are created during your reception, with guests joining in naturally and at their own pace. Some guests sit right away, others watch for a bit and come back later with friends or family. There’s no pressure to participate — the experience simply unfolds around your celebration.
If you’re searching for a wedding cartoonist, you’re likely looking for a wedding caricature artist who draws guests live during the reception — creating personalized artwork as part of the celebration. That's what I do.
As a wedding caricature artist, I work quickly and intentionally, typically drawing 20–30 guests per hour. That speed allows more guests to be included without long lines or crowding, and it keeps the energy light and social.
The setup is simple and discreet. I bring all professional equipment and don’t require a table — just three chairs, which are typically already available at the venue. I work in a clean, dry medium with no paint, no drying time, and no mess, so the space stays polished and guest-ready throughout your reception.
Placement matters. I work with your planner or venue team to set up where guests naturally congregate — usually near the bar or lounge — so people can join in easily without being pulled away from the celebration.

My Wedding Caricature Setup
Custom backdrop provided by the event designer.

Timing is flexible. Most couples begin live wedding caricatures during cocktail hour and let them flow naturally into the reception. I work quietly around toasts, special dances, and meaningful moments, adjusting in real time so your wedding stays smooth and unhurried.
Guests come and go as they please. Because the drawings are completed on the spot, guests take their artwork home the same night — a personalized keepsake they’re genuinely excited to keep. It’s not unusual for guests to walk their sketch out to their car just to keep it safe.
The bride and groom are always welcome to step in to be drawn whenever they like. Guests understand, and I handle it seamlessly — giving you a relaxed little breather before jumping right back into celebrating.
I arrive early — typically at least an hour before the ceremony — so everything is fully set up before guests ever notice I’m there. Wedding timelines shift, and that’s expected. My role is to adapt, protect your flow, and make sure the experience feels easy from start to finish.
As an experienced wedding caricaturist, I understand wedding flow, work seamlessly with planners and venues, and create an experience that feels relaxed, thoughtful, and genuinely fun for your guests.
This approach works beautifully across a wide range of wedding sizes, venues, and styles — from intimate gatherings to large receptions, and even destination wedding weekends. Live wedding caricatures can also be added to rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, or pre-wedding celebrations to create connection before the big day.
At the heart of it all is intention. My caricatures are intentionally flattering — guests still look like themselves, just joyful and recognizable. I pay attention to personality, comfort level, and energy, drawing each guest with care, humor, and respect.
That’s why live wedding caricatures don’t distract from your celebration.
They become part of it — creating laughter in the moment and memories your guests carry home.

I draw flattering, fun wedding caricatures, and I talk with your guests as I work — helping them relax, laugh, and enjoy the moment. Before they know it, the drawing is finished… and more often than not, I hear, “That was fun!”
Because I work quickly, typically drawing 20–30 guests per hour, more guests can comfortably participate without long waits, awkward pressure, or anyone needing to manage the experience.

My wedding caricatures are a proven experience that works in two important ways:

Why Couples Choose

Bride Abby and Groom Ryan hold their destination wedding caricature at Little Point Clear in Fairhope, Alabama. Abby and Ryan (@abbyndryan) trusted me as their wedding caricature artist to create a personalized keepsake during their celebration.
Couples who want fun, interactive wedding reception entertainment choose live wedding caricatures because they:

• Keep guests entertained throughout the celebration — not just once
• Double as both entertainment and wedding favors
• Work beautifully for all ages, backgrounds, and family types
• Give guests a personalized keepsake they actually keep.
Wedding caricatures aren’t just something guests watch — they’re something guests experience together, laugh about, and take home as a reminder of your day.
If you’re looking for unique wedding entertainment that’s fun, interactive, and guest-focused, live caricature art creates laughter during the celebration and leaves guests with a personalized keepsake they take home and cherish.

Why Couples
Feel Confident Investing
A Thoughtful Use of Your Wedding Budget

Izenstone in Spanish Fort, AL —
Jan Leigh & Josh getting their wedding sketch drawn by Kathy Buslett
When couples reach out, they’re not just asking about caricatures.
They’re asking whether this will actually work for their wedding.
That’s where experience matters.
As a professional wedding caricature artist, I create live wedding caricatures that fit seamlessly into your celebration — with the timing, pacing, and care a wedding day requires.
Here’s what matters most, and why couples feel confident saying yes:
You’re not paying per person.
My wedding caricature packages are hourly, not per-guest. There’s no headcount stress, no awkward math, and no pressure during your reception. Guests step in naturally, enjoy the experience, and move on smiling.
I work fast, so more guests are included.
I typically draw 20–30 guests per hour, which is 2–3× the industry average. That means shorter lines, more laughter, and far more guests leaving with a keepsake in the same amount of time.
The drawings are intentionally flattering.
This is the heart of my work. Guests still look like themselves — joyful, confident, and recognizable. No harsh exaggeration. No mean humor. People walk away feeling good, and that’s what they remember.
Your wedding has my full attention.
I never double-book. I arrive early, coordinate with your planner or venue team, adapt in real time, and protect the flow of your day from start to finish.
There are very few artists who combine speed, skill, professionalism, and warmth at a wedding level.
That’s why couples don’t just add my wedding sketches as an afterthought.
They choose a wedding caricature artist they trust to create an experience their guests talk about long after the night is over.
The best decision we made.

Booking & Payment Details
Your custom quote is valid for 7 days. After that, availability and pricing cannot be guaranteed — especially for peak wedding dates.
To reserve your date, a signed booking agreement and retainer are required. The retainer is typically 50%, with the remaining balance due prior to your event.
If you prefer a payment plan, I’m happy to arrange a schedule that feels comfortable while still securing your date.
There are no hidden fees. Your quote includes everything discussed. Additional costs would only apply if event details change — such as extended coverage time, significant guest count increases, travel adjustments, or selected add-ons
Digital caricatures are also available upon request. These are live drawings created digitally rather than on paper, allowing for easy sharing, custom backgrounds, and optional branded or themed designs.
Peace of Mind
Your agreement includes a 100% money-back guarantee — even the retainer — in the unlikely event that I do not show up. In 27 years, that has never happened. But you still deserve the protection.
