• A smaller, intimate room (complete with a built-in photo booth!)

• And a larger ballroom with a grand staircase made for dramatic bridal entrances and unforgettable photos.

• That grand staircase alone? Worth the drive.

At one of the weddings I drew caricatures for, there were actually two ceremonies happening at the same time — and neither disturbed the other. The layout is that good.

Both indoor rooms and outdoor chapels are thoughtfully designed, so whether you’re planning a sunset ceremony or a candlelit indoor reception, it just works.

The staff at The Oaks is truly A-plus. They work behind the scenes to keep everything seamless — from timing the entrances to managing transitions. I’ve drawn at venues all across Louisiana, and not every team runs as smoothly as this one does.

The lit-up tables were a beautiful touch too, adding a soft glow that elevated the room’s ambiance.

And let’s talk about Louisiana brides for a second — they have the most fun. That laissez les bon temps rouler spirit is alive and well at The Oaks. Maybe that’s why I’m lucky enough to be one of their preferred vendors — my flattering, fast, and fun caricatures fit right in with their joyful vibe.
