A Beach Wedding Venue in Biloxi - That wasn’t Actually on the beach

I strode into the slavonian Lodge, my easel slung over my back in a case and dragging my equipent cart behind me. I was wearing All black, as usual.
I opened the heavy doors, and the sight that greeted me was like something out of a fairy tale.
Flowers, Flowers everywhere!
They were Draped on every available surface, including the stage, where a band called Rewind was rehearsing.
I looked around. Where was I supposed to set up?
“You look lost.” Said a man in black. Part of the wedding planning team I presumed.
I smiled, all teeth. “I’m the entertainment,” I said.
He brightened. “Oh! The caricaturist! Let me show you to your spot.”
I followed him in. The place was transformed into an enchanted wood. There were full sized TREES decorating every table. You would never know from the outside that this was actually less than a mile from the beach - a beach wedding venue that was anything but on the beach.
They had me off in a corner of the room. Not the best for foot traffic. I hoped the guests would be able to find me.
I set up my easel and waited like an angler waiting by a fishing hole. Soon, couples in finery that would rival a Disney princess movie wandered in.
A few looked my way curiously. None approached.
I turned on my light. It illuminated my stand in the darkness like a beacon. But Still - nothing. No one approached.
After about five minutes of this I’d had enough. I walked up to a gorgeously coifed couple and asked to take their picture. That allowed me a moment to talk them into getting a complimentary caricature. I explained - it’s both free AND flattering.
They took the bait.
Soon I was drawing them, and a crowd gathered, and then a line. Hooray! I was literally drawing with a line all night after that.
At the very end of the night, the photographer came over and got a shot of one of the couples. She hadn’t known I was there! Thankfully, I take pics of everyone who sits in my chair (unless they refuse which is rare).
So here they are!
I love drawing caricatures and particularly at weddings. It’s such joyous occasion, the best day of the bride and grooms life - and I get to be a part of it.
But Drawing funny pictures isn’t actually the point of what I do. The point is connecting with people, giving them a bucket-list experience, and then sending them home with a favor that functions as a tangible memory of a special event that they’ll treasure for years, sometimes the rest of their lives. Particularly at events like this.
My live art is hanging in people’s houses all over the world, and I’m grateful to God for a job I thought would never make a difference that instead I have found makes all the difference in my life - and others lives as well.
Thanks for reading this far. Here’s a peek at some of the pics!
As one of the fastest caricature artists in the world, I drew all of those in 4 hours which is why people hire me for events like this. Your guests will be tickled pink!
I also do grad parties, corporate events and many other events including Weddings or any event you want to make more interactive, experiential & memorable.

I was surprised to learn that the Biloxi Wedding... had a caricaturist. I thought no harm, it might be fun to see myself as a wizened old caricature. Then, it was time for my wife and I to sit. The magic began the moment you started. The smile on your face, and the cheerful gleam in your eyes showed me that you were putting your heart and soul into this drawing. You loved it, you made us feel comfortable, and the reveal was truly amazing. The encounter was unforgettable. Thank you for brightening our lives.
