New Orleans Wedding Caricatures

We had SO MUCH FUN at Jennifer & Scott’s wedding last night! I have been to many weddings but this was one of the most FUN ones. I think the people you invite has a lot to do with it! The people in New Olreans know how to HAVE FUN, let me tell YOU.

Jennifer called me in tears the week before her wedding. She wanted to go over

Some last-minute details about where I would be set up to draw caricatures for her wedding in Ponchatoula., Louisiana. (Not really n’awlins but close!)

But it turns out that her mom had just been put on hospice and she was very worried that she wasn’t going to be able to make it. She was also worried about rain.

I was able to talk to her about how my mom had been on hospice last year and comforted her a little bit.

I told her I would pray for her and I did and guess what ?

It didn’t rain AND Mom was able to make it and that meant everything to Jennifer.

At the end of the wedding, she gave me a big hug and told me she was so relieved that her mom had been able to make it and she was in tears, but good tears.

I was so happy to be a part of her big day. It felt like we were old friends.

Here’s a few pictures of some of her fun and outlandish family and friends. They even did a handkerchief dance, which I think is really only something that they do at a New Orleans wedding.
